An interesting incident happened in Lucknow where the Lucknow Police represented utmost dedication and it was commendable. A cricket fan from Afghanistan flew to Lucknow to watch the ODI between West Indies and Afghanistan.
Wait…this is not the news. News is that he was 8’2” tall. This is not it. He actually failed to find a hotel for himself in the entire city. After approaching number of hotels and continuously facing a denial, helpless Sher Khan finally went to Lucknow police and asked for help.
According to ANI, police after hearing his problem made arrangements for him in Hotel Rajdhani in Naka.
This wasn’t the end. People around were looking at him out of curiosity and according to Sher Khan, he was embarrassed with so many heads turning around. The unusual expressions of Lucknowites made him a bit uncomfortable, but the Cops made sure to escort him to Ekana Stadium for the match.
According to the Hotel owner, ”He was obviously uncomfortable with the fact that 200 eyes were on him.”
Afraid of the visitor’s health and his personal space Lucknow Police accompanied him all the way along. This professionalism and decent behaviour of Lucknow Police is indeed praiseworthy.
But what happened to Lucknowites? This is surely not us! Disappointing but nevertheless a lesson! Cheer up for the match!
