Chill guys, nothing to worry. Bananas are not permanently banned at Charbagh Railway station at it was rumoured few days back. Well it was not a rumour actually. They were banned for 2 days.
After the protests of vendors and travellers hearing the ”banana ban”, the Northern Railway Officials clarified the whole situation.
They said that vendors were not allow to sell bananas for just two days. It was a two-day ban.
They further added that we did not allowed vendors to sell banana so that we can have an idea that how clean platforms can look. This is because we have noticed that people eat banana and throw the peel anywhere at the station. Which adds dirt.
Jagtosh Shukla who is the senior DCM of Northern Railway Lucknow said that bananas are now being sold at the station.
