Pollution, one big problem of Lucknow and plastic is making the situation even worse. State Government is now being serious on this issue and planning to take measures. This is the reason the Government of UP has decided to ban plastic not only in Lucknow but across the State. This decision will hopefully bring some positive changes.
There are too many reasons why this step is going to execute. First of all is a big amount of plastic waste that comes out of Lucknow every day. Quantity of biodegradabl plastic bags are most. These are those plastic bags that are transferred from vendors to the customers.
However, last year also Government introduced the same rule but it was not implemented forcefully. This time government seems to be very strict.
Apart from these reasons one strong reason is that, almost every industry in the state is continuously using plastic bags. With this nre rule, they will have to try some better option.
This rule will bring more strictness, under this rule no vendor can strictly provide any plastic bags to the customer. If they found violating the rules then they will have to pay a heavy fine. The government will monitor this in order to make sure everything is going under the rules and regulations and to check whether plastic bags are not at all used.
