Indian Railways has amazingly transformed itself in terms of facilities, modern amenities and great connectivity. The next focus is passenger safety and steps have been taken already. Railways just want to make sure that the residents are fit and fine to travel. The Northern Railways has installed health ATMs at the Junction of Lucknow.
There are two machines installed, and like the ATMs used for withdrawal of money, these health ATMs provide details about your well-being.
16 Health Check-ups
The machines installed at the railway stations are small setups where your 16 health check-ups can be done at one time. The cost is pretty reasonable, 50-100 rupees. Time will depend upon the types of check-up you desire; it normally will take 9-15 minutes per person.
Do you know?
You will be amazed to know that Lucknow is the first city in UP to install health ATMs. Now planning is to install the similar setups in Bareilly-Moradabad as well.
Tests available here
Various tests can be done in few minutes here. A trained medical attendant will be present here for any assistance. There are medical devices available for basic tests and neurology, cardiology, gynaecology, etc. You can also get your blood pressure tested, check your body weight, oxygen saturation checked, pulse rate measured and a lot.
Kiosks are placed in the prime areas of the Railway station so that who ever are in need of the check up can get it done and also can decide whether to continue the Rail Journey or not.
A ‘Fit India’ Movement
These health ATMs are under the Fit India Movement and it is reported that it is used by 50-60 people on a daily basis. Not bad, isn’t it!
